Marilynne and I went in search of the Great Egret reported at the Little Qualicum River Estuary north of Qualicum Beach. We saw the Great Egret at about 7:45pm, April 26, in the Marshall-Stevenson Wildlife Sanctuary off Surfside Drive. The egret was fishing on the far side of the marsh towards the right side. We also saw a Black Bear in the ditch just before we got to Qualicum Beach on Highway 4.
