Tuesday June 10, 2025:
The Tuesday Bird Walk went to Springwood Park in Parksville. Weather was sunny, calm and 15C. A few highlights from the walk were California Quail perched in a tree on watch duty. A few quick views of Swainson’s Thrush and Black-throated Gray Warbler.
9 birders saw and heard the following 37 species:

Sunday June 8, 2025:
The Sunday Bird Walk went to Maki Road Trail in south Nanaimo. Weather was sunny, 15C, and calm. A few highlights from the walk was a great view of an Osprey flying overhead, a Willow Flycatcher perched and singing away and a Black-headed Grosbeak.
11 birders saw and heard the following 37 species:

The Backyard Bird Walks
Our bird walks go out
Sunday mornings in Nanaimo and Tuesday mornings in Parksville and Qualicum
Beach area, are easy walks that go for two to three hours (back for lunch is
the plan). Bring binoculars and a field guide. The walks are weather pending.

Sunday Bird Walk will be going to Morden Historical Provincial Park in South Nanaimo.
Meet directly at the parking lot at Morden Colliery Park at the end of Morden Road off of HWY 1 at 9:00 am. Weather cooperating.
Tuesday Bird Walk, June 17, 2025.
Tuesday
Bird Walk will be going to the Top Bridge Trail in Parksville.
Meet at the directly at the end parking area on Industrial Way by Tuan Road at 9:00am. Weather Cooperating.
