NANAIMO
BIRD REPORT
August 30 2015
American Kestrel
(Photo: Ralph Hocken)
This week the Sunday bird-walk went to the Plummer rd. side of the
Englishman River Estuary and there was a possible sighting of a Northern
Waterthrush in front of the viewing stand on the Plummer rd side of the estuary. There have been lots of reports of flocks of house finches
visiting feeders this
week in Nanaimo, and some sightings of purple finches
frequenting feeders in the past week.
There will be no bird walk
September 6 2015 due to the Labour Day weekend and on September 13 2015 the
walk will be heading to Neck Point Park (meet at the store at 9:00am or in the
Neck Point parking lot at approximately 9:10am)
Happy birding!
