The Tuesday bird walk went to Columbia Beach. The
morning saw rain all the time and the winds were calm, the Strait of Georgia was calm. Many Harlequin
Ducks were seen just offshore. A flock of sixteen Long-tailed Ducks were seen further offshore. Many
Pacific Loons, Horned Grebes, Red-necked Grebes and Common Goldeneye were seen on the strait through out the morning. A
Red-necked Phalarope and two Rhinoceros Auklet were spotted
offshore.
