Tuesday Bird Walk
Parksville/Qualicum Beach
On August 6 the Tuesday Bird Walk went to Columbia Beach by French
Creek. The morning was sunny and warm with very little breeze. A few highlights
from the walk were a Great Horned Owl, Long-billed Dowitcher along with Greater
and Lesser Yellowlegs and these were seen at the end of Admiral Tyron Blvd by
French Creek. Not much was happening on the water side but there were 8 Black
Oystercatchers feeding on the beach. Our parking lot bird was a Common Loon.
