Received a report this morning of 14 American White Pelicans seen at the head of Nanoose Bay near the estuary. They flock were first seen in Nanoose Bay Wednesday evening, May 2nd, and then seen again flying around the estuary this morning, May 3rd.
Please let us know of any further sightings.
UPDATE
As of 1:30pm the pelicans were reported to still be in Nanoose feeding. There are 11 within sight from Nanoose Beach road.

AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS seen again this morning, Friday May 4, in Nanoose Bay. Park at the end of Nanoose Beach road to observe. Please respect the birds, admire from a distance and do not get to close as they are feeding to continue their journey.
