On the Tuesday bird walk, about 11:45 am, at the mouth of the Little
Qualicum River, a Little Gull was standing on a rock next to three Bonaparte's
Gulls, Black Turnstones and other gulls. We watched it for about five minutes, through the scopes, the Gull had very dark red legs, the head markings like the Adult nonbreeding
(Aug-April) on page 208 of the Sibley Guide to Birds, 2000 edition.
