The Backyard's Weekly Bird Walks are starting up again on Sunday, March 1st out of Nanaimo, and Tuesday, March 10th out of Parksville.

Herring Spawn has started.

The Herring spawn has begun, there are thousands of Scoters, hundreds of Greater Scaup & Long-tailed ducks, along with thousands upon thousands of Gull’s on the Strait of Georgia off Kinkade Road in north Qualicum Beach. it’s our awesome  annual March birding on the Strait of Georgia
